Financial Services
SmartMoney Community Services in partnership with Cincinnati Central Credit Union Over-the-Rhine branch offers a wide range of affordable standard banking services ranging from loans, direct deposit, investment opportunities, checking and savings accounts.

Financial Education
SmartMoney’s Comprehensive Financial Literacy package – SmartDollars and Sense workshops, SmartChange one-on-one financial counseling, and SmartTax – is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Utilizing workshops, seminars, one-on-one financial counseling, and free tax preparation services, participants receive valuable information on budgeting, effectively managing credit and pinpointing long-term savings goals.

Entrepreneurship Training
SmartBusiness is a pioneer for comprehensive micro enterprise business training and lending in the urban core of Cincinnati. The 12-week program assists participants with business plan development, site acquisition, research, marketing, personnel and financial management.

Matched Savings Incentive Programs
SmartStep Savings is a matched savings incentive or Individual Development Account (IDA) program that provides participants with a 2:1 savings match towards a goal of homeownership, entrepreneurship, or post-secondary education. Participants must save for a minimum of 1-year and a maximum of 3, and are required to complete a 12-month workshop series covering topics in budgeting, credit, and savings.

Homeownership Training
The SmartHome Ownership Workshop is a multi-week course that educates potential first-time homebuyers on the various aspects of purchasing a home, such as money management, the role of the realtor, finding the right house, choosing a mortgage and other related topics. SmartHome Pre-Purchase Counseling sessions take a more in-depth look at factors affecting a homebuying decision such as basic budgeting and clearing up derogatory credit.
